Upper School Financial Aid Application Deadline
A financial aid application by this date guarantees a financial aid decision by Thursday, February 24th.
The Heights expects full enrollment by mid-March. Each year, however, we experience a small number of unanticipated openings due to the international nature of our city. Consequently, the following process allows late applicants to apply to our waitpool in the event of such openings. To apply to the waitpool, please:
- Submit Application online through the Admissions Portal;
- Submit unofficial copy of report card by email to admissions@heights.edu;
- In April, The Heights will reach out to you if, based on the records and our available spaces, a student visit is advisable;
- Following the visit, should you choose to complete the process, please request recommendations, official transcripts, and schedule the family interview through the parent portal;
- Decisions released on an as-available basis, no earlier than April 1, and as late as August.
Application Process
1. Schedule a Student Visit
Sign up your son to be a Cavalier for the day! He will attend classes and experience what a typical day at The Heights is like. In order to schedule a student visit, please register here by following these steps: (1) provide your son’s information; (2) select “Schedule a Visit” next to “How can we help you today?”; (3) proceed to fill out the rest of the form. If you already submitted an application, please sign the waiver and schedule a visit on the admissions checklist in the parent portal. Click here for more information on student visits.
2. Apply online
Click here to submit an application.
3. Submit a Transcript and Recommendation
These forms can be accessed in the checklist on the parent portal after submitting the application and fee online. Both the student transcript and teacher recommendation may be completed and submitted online using the admissions parent portal.
4. Schedule an Interview
Once the application and all requisite materials have been received, you may schedule an interview online via the parent portal. We ask that both parents accompany the applicant to the interview. This gives us the chance to get to know your family in a more personal way. It is also a great opportunity for you to better acquaint yourself with our school.
5. Upper School Applicants may, at their election, submit SSAT or other standardized test scores
The Heights is Test-Optional. Accordingly, Upper School applicants, if they so choose, may take the SSAT or send us another similar standardized test score once it becomes available. You may send results directly to us. Regardless of whether standardized tests are submitted, all applicants will read aloud to their interviewer, provide a short writing sample during the family interview, and complete written work during their visit day. Consequently, The Heights does not require a standardized test, but rather leaves it to the applicant family to decide whether such a test is in the best interest of their son.
