Linda Maher has worked at The Heights as Director of Communications, beginning in the 2003-04 academic year. She came to the School from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services where she worked as a press specialist in the Office of the Secretary. She previously spent three years as director of development for the Youth Leadership Foundation, which operates academic enrichment and character development programs for Washington inner city middle school youngsters. For over 35 years, Linda has worked in the communications field, first on the Hill, then at the National Cable Television Association, and then for Turner Broadcasting, the former parent company of CNN. She and her husband, Bob, celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in August 2019. They have three children, Morgan ‘05, Tim ‘07, and Lucy ’09 from Oakcrest. Linda is a graduate of Smith College with a degree in history.
