Mr. Hemphill is a graduate of Walter Johnson High School located in Bethesda, MD. There he was a three-year starter on the Varsity basketball team. Upon graduation, Mr. Hemphill continued his basketball career at Albright college in Reading, PA, where he was a starter and Co-Freshman of the year in his conference, and voted captain his sophomore and junior year, while injury prevented him from playing his senior year. Mr. Hemphill double majored in Business Administration and Philosophy. Before starting at The Heights, he worked for the Discovery Channel at their headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. At The Heights, Mr. Hemphill has coached all levels of basketball, as well as Varsity Tennis and JV Lacrosse, and is currently the Varsity basketball coach, and 6th grade basketball coach. He and his wife, Claudette, live in Potomac, MD with their four children, Mena, Mason (a current student at The Heights), Madeline, and Colton.
