To date, 131 alumni have donated a total of $78,598 to The Heights. These donations provide for tuition assistance, scholarships, faculty support, athletics, mentoring, the arts, and other needs at the School. Thank you to everyone who has generously given so far this year!
Many alumni prefer to make their gifts in December before the calendar year ends. If you have not donated yet, don’t worry The Heights Fiscal Year does not end until June 30th. Any gifts made by June 30th will be credited to the current fiscal year (2019-2020) which runs July 1st to June 30th each year.
During the 2018-2019 fiscal year at this point, 110 alumni had donated $70,397. By the end of the last fiscal year, $124,083 was donated by 330 alumni. Both the participation and the total dollars raised are records for alumni giving, which we hope to break this year as we celebrated the 50th Anniversary! The growth in alumni giving demonstrates the increased commitment alumni have to the School and has a significant impact on the annual success of The Heights.
Why do we ask alumni to give to the School? First of all, it is an opportunity to express gratitude for the education, mentoring, and coaching we as alumni received at The Heights. Second, because your financial support is necessary to provide excellence in education. The school cannot carry out its mission without alumni generosity.
Donations to The Heights allow many boys to attend the School who would not otherwise be able to afford it. In order to limit tuition increases and provide need-based tuition assistance, it is necessary to raise funds for The Heights. In other words, your gifts are the margin of excellence, especially since they also support the key element of excellence at The Heights, the faculty.
